چکیده

Opposite to many other communication channels the powerline channel does not represent an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) environment; in the frequency range from some hundred kilohertz up to 20 MHz it is mostly dominated by narrow-band interference and impulsive noise. After a basic classification of the different types of noise the properties of background noise and narrow-band interference are discussed. Spectral analysis and time domain analysis of impulse noise gives some figures of the power spectral density as well as distributions of L noise f , I impulse noise ; J , . . .

Dynamic Channel Adaptation for AC Synchronized Powerline Channel

Broadband Power Line Communications (PLC) technology allows the usage of electrical power supply networks for communications purposes, such as audio/video streaming and broadband internet access. The powerline has an inherent characteristic that is the cyclic variation of channel and noise with the phase of the AC line cycle. To achieve either high throughput or high robustness, we apply dynami...

Throughput Analysis over Power Line Communication Channel in an Electric Noisy Scenario

Powerline Communications –PLC– as an alternative method for broadband networking, has the advantage of transmitting over channels already used for electrical distribution or even transmission. But these channels have been not designed with usual wired channels requirements for broadband applications such as stable impedance or known attenuation, and the network have to reject noises caused by e...

Broadband Characterization of Indoor Powerline Channel

For data communication over any medium, it is necessary to determine the characteristics of the communication channel. Powerline channel has been considered as a medium not only for low-rate, control purpose communication, but also for high-speed data communication, such as home networking and Internet access. In order to implement advanced communication technologies, the complete knowledge of ...

A Broadband Low Power CMOS LNA for 3.1–10.6 GHz UWB Receivers

A new approach for designing an ultra wideband (UWB) CMOS low noise amplifier (LNA) is presented. The aim of this design is to achieve a low noise figure, reasonable power gain and low power consumption in 3.1-10.6 GHz. Also, the figure of merit (FOM) is significantly improved at 180nm technology compared to the other state-of-the-art designs. Improved π-network and T-network are used to obt...
